This antique, Belgian curtain made of fine, Swiss linen measures 115 inches wide x 90 inches long (300cm x 230cm).
Its exceptional 19 inch wide (48cm) trim is handmade Bruges Duchess tape lace. The irregularities and density clearly indicate hand production rather than machine manufacture. Such an unusually wide handmade lace border on a curtain is rare and adds significant value.
The lace displays floral and scroll motifs with tape construction, spider grounds, mesh, and net fillings.
The piece is in impeccable condition, with no stains or visible wear, and all details are fully intact.
