This pair of steel, embroidery scissors is gold-plated and designed for use with threads, Hardanger, embroidery, etc.. The diminutive, 4 inch long, scissors are hand-crafted by Jean-Marie Roulot, in Nogent, France. Named “Delicate Leaves,” in honor of the nature that inspired them, these scissors are one-of-a-kind and increasingly rare.

Proceeds from the auction will be donated to Comfort for Critters - a social entrepreneurship The French Needle has supported for many years.

Monsieur Roulot: Scissor Master

Jean-Marie Roulot was born in 1936 close to the little town of Nogent. He dedicated his lifetime to the craft of scissor-making and became a master, recognized for his art. He passed away, age 88, in 2023, survived by his lovely wife, Mireille, and a menagerie of animals. He was close to Lisa, our mother and founder of this needlework shop.
